MY name is Tuan VO , my cycle 115 lived at vung 5 lived there between May 1988 - November 1988 , went to PASS school . I missed all my friends .

I was there for 9 months from 04/86 to 01/1987, these videos bring back good and bad memories as a refugee living there. I missed many of the people, I was there with. Some of my friends are from Lao and Vietnam. I always wondered what happened to those people and where do they live at now. I lived about 1 mile from the cambodian temple, I used to sweep the leaf from the temple ground.

Gaylord passed away a few years ago. He loved refugees with his heart. Gaylord was a wonderful human being. He always calm and shared your thoughts in any moment even when he was in the rust just like only you in the room. Gaylord you are still with us for a long time.

Looking at these pictures and video it brought me so much memories of Bataan camp, and I remember the raining and those typhoons day and night it was so sad and scary when the thunderstorm came because you would felt like the whole building was shaking.

Mr. Gaylord Wayne Barr, owner of these pictures, passed away on May 30, 2015 in Roanoke, VA. He was well loved not only by his friends and family, but also by his former ESL(English as a Second Launguage) students from the refugee camps that he worked. He was a man with great compassion for all. At his request, there was no funeral services of any kind, and his ashes were scattered in his home town, Yakima, WA.

I was at Galang 1 in 1980 barrack 110 across from the hospital. I would like to reconnect with anyone whose stay in that barrack. Thank you

1978 đến 1982 Việt Nam vừa thoát khỏi chiến tranh chống Mỹ, lại tiếp tục chiến tranh biên giới tây nam và chiến tranh phía bắc với Trung Quốc. Nhân dân vừa nuôi quân vừa chiến đấu thì chuyện vượt biên là chuyện thường, nhất là năm 1975 khi chính quyền Ngụy tuyên truyền rằng ba thằng cộng sản bám cành đu đủ không gãy hay cộng sån vào Sài Sơn sẽ tắm máu. Tuyên truyền như vậy mấy ông làm qoan chức và cảnh sát hay lính tráng có tội với cộng sån .chạy là đúng rồi. Nhưng khi quân giải phóng, ,quân đội nhân dân Việt Nam vào Sài Gòn máu không đổ mà họ rất hiền lành ,thân thiện với nhân dân.
